2017 Wrapped

It's that time of year again.

Your inbox is flooded with:

"End of Year!"

"HOW COULD IT BE OVER ALREADY"

"I have no idea what the heck happened this year, but i'm going to try and write about it"

I like to think I'm a mixture of all three. Well, I'm going to try at least

Life

2017 definitely had it's ups and downs.

I learned a lot about myself this year. I learned that what you look like does not define you. I learned that it's okay to feel sad for no reason once in a while.

My relationship with my dad hasn't been the greatest this year. Now that I'm older I understand a lot more and it's weakened our relationship. I don't hate him, but we don't really see eye to eye most of the time. Is it wrong to dislike your own father? Sometimes he will say something that maybe he thinks isn't so bad, but it really shakes my confidence and sticks with me.

But he's my dad and I do love him.

My mental health had some ups and downs this year, too. I had some episodes where I just felt depressed and lonely. I listened to sad music and fell into a hole of self-loathing. I've never really been confident with the way I looked. My body type is a little on the heavy side and clothes fit me kinda weird because of that. I would look in the mirror and hate myself.

But I've accepted the way I look and you are beautiful no matter what you look like.

I am going to make 2018 a recovery year. A year of discovery and happiness. I want to be able to smile at a mirror and be happy with what I look like. I want my dad and I to have a better relationship. Blogging has really helped me a lot during 2017 and I want 2018 to be even better.

Blogging

This blog has 12 followers!!! 12!!! Thank you for following me!!!!

My most popular post is my song, Him *is excited about this*

My songs are actually the most popular posts on this blog. I was so scared to post them on here but now I'm glad I did. Honestly you should have seen me after I posted the first song, I almost gave myself a panic attack. But then I received all the lovely comments from you guys and that really inspired me to keep writing.

I'm going to comment more on blogs in 2018. I don't do it often and I really should. Most of followers are bloggers too, so if you post something and I don't comment on either the day or the day after you posted it, feel free to come over here and yell at me. Don't hold back, let me have it!!!

Shout-outs

Dear, sweet sister o' mine. You have stuck with me through thick and thin. During my bad moments and during my good ones. Even though you just had to graduate college and leave me You are the best "adopted" sister a girl could ask for!!!

Kat
Bestest friend in the world, your conversations throughout this year have helped me a lot. You've cheered me up, teased me ridiculously about Certain People, and let me hug you, even though you hate hugs. :D :D

Other bestest friend in the world, you are awesome!! You give me books that make me cry......but I still love you! Your blog posts always make me laugh! Thanks for letting me read your stories. I can't wait to say that I got to read them before they were published, when you're famous and people trample each other to buy your books.

  3. MY LIL SIS!!!! *Hugs*

You're not alone - my relationship with my dad wasn't the greatest at your age, and we still have our bad days occasionally. I don't think dads quite realize that they have such a pivotal role in their daughters emotional development.

I'm SO GLAD to be there for you!! AND I WILL BE BACK!!!!
