Trust





i'm sorry if i seem aloof
i'm sorry if i seem distant
its just that
i've had a lot of people
leave me behind
broken in pieces 
scattered on the floor

so now i guard my heart
i find it hard to trust
because you see
its easier to hide yourself
than let other people in

    It is easier to hide ourselves, isn't it? But I think we writers write to keep from hiding and help with the healing. Beautiful!
